- Regina Pats Alumni Game
- February 4, 2013
You know the old saying... 'you can't go back?' Well, sometimes you can. I had the distinct pleasure of playing in a Regina Pats Alumni hockey game last week and it was great fun to go back to my 'hockey days.' It was a lot of fun to meet up with some of my old pals and share some stories and it was especially gratifying to score a goal in the big game! Thanks to Nibs, Hewie, Wick, Tony V and all the other old-timers who put our bodies through a little hell to put on a great show and raise some money for another Pat alum - Kyle Deck!
- Craven Scores a Coup!
- January 22, 2013
Anyone who knows the music business, especially the country music business, knows how difficult it can be to book one act. Try booking lineups for three festivals! At the end of the day you are still dealing with people and stuff happens. For instance, we thought we had our lineup firm for the Craven Country Jamboree this year and lo and behold Hilary Scott of Lady Antebellum gets pregnant and they cancel 11 dates for the summer, including ours (and Country Thunder). Anyway, when adversity strikes, it's always best to think outside of the box, and that's what we did, scoring one of four dates for the Dixie Chicks in 2013. Turned out to be a score for the festival. Whew!!
- Country Thunder Festivals close to Selling Out!
- January 16, 2013
Wow, it's only been a few years since we took over Country Thunder in Arizona and Wisconsin but this year has been crazy! With only a few months left before each show, they are both within a hair of selling out. I am so grateful to everyone for their hard work and everyone who supports the shows.

- Sara Jean Kelley
- February 24, 2012
I had the pleasure of having lunch today with a talented young lady from Nashville, Miss Sara Jean Kelley. I was incredibly impressed with her passion for music, which is not a surprise considering she comes from a successful musical family. She's been working with some of the best songwriters and musicians in Nashville, like Jedd Hughes, Big Kenny, and Will Kimbrough and I think she's an artist to watch in the near future. She's slated to put out an album by the end of the year, but for a taste of this talented young artists' repetoire, check out her first album, Dollhouse.
- Thinking of NOLA during Mardi Gras season!
- February 16, 2012
I was just thinking about one of my favorite cities in America - New Orleans. Mardi Gras is one heck of a party, but the city is fun any time of year. The food is amazing too! Speaking of food, I just ran across a photo taken during last year's Voodoo Experience. My buddy Jack is the owner and chef of the best restaurant in New Orleans - Jacques-Imo's Cafe. Check it out if you ever get the chance - the alligator cheese cake will blow your mind!
