Two Festivals right around the corner... Summer is here!
May 14, 2013

Summer means different things to different people. To me it means festival season is here. Two great examples are Hangout in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and a new one called Texas Thunder, which is raising money for the people of West, Texas, who recently experienced the tragic fertilizer plant explosion. If you get a chance this weekend, get out and support either one of these festivals, or live music in your community.

Country Thunder Arizona just around the corner!!

The grounds are looking good and the stage is going up! We're ready for one of the biggest country music festivals in North America!

ACMs Around the Corner
March 27, 2013

Just contemplating the ACM celebrations coming soon. From the ACM Lifting Lives Golf Tournament (hopefully our team will do well) to all the fan celebrations where staff from our festivals, Country Thunder and the Craven Country Jamboree will be meeting a whole crop of new fans to the awards themselves and all the acts that we have on our three festivals who are honoured with nominations - it should be an amazing weekend! And Vegas ain't a bad place to visit any time of the year!

Australia and Metallica equals awesome!
March 6, 2013

I've been most places around our little globe touring with bands, operas, etc etc. and always thought there's no place that compares to North America. But, I had never been to Australia until last week. I have to say - I was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful weather, great scenery and a pretty cool music festival name Soundwave. Metallica was headlining this festival, which turned up in 5 different cities across Australia. I saw some amazing shows and soaked up the laid back culture down under!

So the Grammy's were on last night...
February 11, 2013

I had a chance to watch some of the Grammy Awards last night and it was really great to see the participation of both new acts and "more established" acts. Highlights for me were Ed Sheeran and Elton John, the tribute to Bob Marley, and the tribute to Levon Helm. It's also refreshing that all the artists who sang last night actually sang... live. The performances may not have been flawless, but that's what live music is all about!
